What does an RVP do?
While visiting with members across the region, I keep hearing the same question: what does an RVP actually do? Here’s the short answer. Your RVP sits at the national table where decisions about your working conditions and benefits get made. The job is to make sure the Southwest Region’s voice is heard there, to support every local in the region, and to protect the rights we’ve fought for. But the role isn’t about a title. It’s about being accountable to every member, so no one ever has to wonder whether their RVP is working for them.
